Frank Scheffler is one of the few lecturers in the business whose CV boasts a combination of extensive instrumental teaching experience at university level with a degree as fully qualified teacher of the Alexander Technique.

For five years, Frank was a docents in organ performance and organ improvisation at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt/Main. Foreign universities including the University of Utah’s (USA) School of Music and the Brigham Young University (USA), as well as the University of Lima (Peru) have invited him to give master classes, guest docents and concerts.

In addition, Frank completed his training as an Alexander Technique instructor, spanning several years in Cologne and Nijmegen/Holland, under Prof. Nadia Kevan, Professor for Movement Studies/Body Awareness at Essen’s Folkwang University, amongst others. This method promoting efficient mental, emotional and bodily direction, which is mainly used by musicians and actors, enjoys world-wide recognition supported by scientific evidence. Through targeted release and improving body awareness, as well as muscular coordination, the Alexander Technique strives to create the conditions for an improvement of posture and mental presence.
